Pros

I worked with a lot of great people. We also had fun at work and were good at working together to get the job done efficiently. While I was there, I worked as Loss Prevention, during which I trained three new associates to replace myself and maintained the lowest shrink precentage in the stores history, Mobile Electronics sales associate, and an Inventory Specialist. If you work in the Inventory department, expect long hour during the holidays. On "Black Friday" and the day before Thanksgiving I worked twelve hour shifts every year. The shipments are huge and the days can be quite long. While I enjoyed the job, there was a definite lack of recognition given to the Inventory team for the hard work they do.

Cons

Lack of responsibility taken by store management, rare visits from upper management, zero opportunities to impliment your own ideas and ingenuity, rampant favoritism, low pay, etc.

Pros

-It's a job that is available in most locations.

Cons

-The company, on a corporate level, doesn't seem to grasp the value of the talent they have. - Close ties with Citibank subvert the importance of product knowledge, customer service, and revenue for credit card sales. - Daily Performance check-ins are overbearing and myopic. - Tends to burnout motivated employees with false carrots and hollow promises. - Pay's terrible, and rides the line of predatory at times.
