Pros
Cadence pays well in Industry- for very mundane work. Cadence gives excellent stock options and health benefits. Office locations are good and facilities are excellent in house.
Cons
Cadence patent committees are very poorly organized- better to file patents once once leaves Cadence. Line Managers rarely know what type of work is coming down the line. Cadence experience is not at all very valuable in other companies- it is mostly customer support and engagements and will teach you nothing other than tool skills. Cadence is very unsupportive of employees trying to study even on their own time. Stock price has been below $20 for 4 years - no chance of recovery. Far trails the industry peers in perception.
