Pros

Working as a Senior IT consultant from past 2.5 yrs. It's really a great place to work, and I recommend it to everyone who wants to explore their career and their technical skills. Excellent infrastructure includes a gym, food, and cafeteria. Free of Cost Office Cabs available for Pick and Drop. Quarterly awards and recognitions will be given to the deserving candidates. Security for the female employees during the office hours and while dropping by the cab to the home location. Great projects and hiring totally based upon your talent and skills. Management policies are transparent and employee-friendly. No layoffs were seen in my projects or other projects in Capgemini. Decent hikes and promotions during the appraisal cycles. A hybrid mode of working depends on the project and is a great way to maintain work-life balance. Extra allowances while you are working on weekends and public holidays. All managers, HR, and upper management are highly supportive. There is no discrimination among senior and junior employees; policies are fair and transparent for all. Creche and play school are available for small kids for the working parents to take care of them along with their job. Excellent green campus, food court, and environment.

Cons

Free food should be provided to the employees working late shifts. More on-site opportunities should be provided for the employees for project exposure and career growth. More Flexibility to choose hybrid days while working from the office can be provided to employees.

Cons

I was laid off after spending several months on the bench, with "lack of available projects" cited as the reason. However, another consultant in the same role who was also without an active client engagement was retained. As a woman and racial minority, I could not ignore the disparity in how these decisions appeared to be made. Before my termination, I reported being recorded without my consent and raised concerns about conduct that I believed reflected implicit bias. I was referred to as "URM" instead of by my name or role, encouraged toward race based employee resource groups rather than meaningful career opportunities, and repeatedly advocated for fair project placement while on the bench. My employment ended shortly after I raised these concerns. Following my termination, I pursued the matter through the appropriate internal and legal channels. I provided documentation supporting my concerns and gave the company multiple opportunities to investigate and resolve the issues. Rather than meaningfully addressing the evidence or acknowledging the seriousness of the allegations, the company denied wrongdoing, offered what I viewed as a nominal severance, and declined to accept accountability. Employees deserve confidence that concerns about discrimination and retaliation will be investigated objectively and fairly. My experience left me with the opposite impression.
