Pros
Very easy job, with little to no micromanagement whatsoever. You get to work with some good people, and that is it.
Cons
Where do I start? Unrealistic sales goals that 90% of the team NEVER hit. No store traffic at all, you are lucky to talk (not sale) to one to two people a day. Severe over-staffing. I mean 8 sales people in a store that realistically will have 5-10 customers a day (no exaggeration). Too many $0 days. Constant commission structure changes. We have taken a HUGH pay-cut. Ridiculous phone pricing, sometimes $100 above retail. Bogus $40 fees for programming and setup (in addition to the real Verizon $20 activation/upgrade fee). CPO blemish/refurbished inventory. Sales reps are never held accountable for anything. Reps lie and rip customers off constantly, and are never punished. You would not believe some of the things that have happened in our stores recently. I won't go into detail, but all I will say is, IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO GET FIRED FROM HERE. I guess that would be a pro. This is just the tip of the iceberg. Do yourself a favor and try to work for corporate. At least you know you'll have a line of customers that wraps around the building.
