Pros

you can make money if you work long hours(double shifts) and everyday if that's what you wish.

Cons

There is no corporate structure for advancement. You better be good friends with the people above you if you want to move up. Also, the longer you are in the company, the worst they treat you. Your schedule will not be fair, new recruits will have a better schedule than the more seasoned reps that have been there longer. There is not proper accountability standards. You may be late once and get reprimanded, but Joe Shmuck over the other store who showed up late will not be reprimanded as severe as you because A) he is good friend with management B) he/she is selling more than the average rep. They are biased with people. Also, your chargebacks could be outrageous after your first 6 months, you could be looking at $300-$1000 a month, for some people even more. So, your hard earned money could be reduced in any given month I saw someone who made $5000 to ended up taking home $2400, I also saw someone who made less than $2000 that month to be charged back over $1000, after taxes and deductions the person made a lot less than minimum wage at any given job. You also will not have a way to check if they get paid for that react unless you are saving passwords/last 4 of ssn in the sytem and going back, which they still do against Verizon Wireless ethical/moral policies. if you put the wrong rate code in the system that pays you more by mistake they will remove it and put the correct one, (fair enough). If you put the wrong code that pays you less and you are supposed to have a higher paid rate code instead, they will leave that lower comission code on and will not fix it, so they can save money, only time it would get fixed if you find out about it and express it yourself. The cost of the equipment is changed at any given time without notifying the representatives, that $10-$20 difference per phone in some cases, make up for hundred of dollars on comission differences. The moral in the stores are low and high percentage of the people are looking for other jobs, current employees do take interview calls while at work, apply for jobs at work. Once you realize what's going on, and that what you were promised on your job interview of high commission does not apply to you as well as many already working there(10-15% of people make over 4000$ before taxes deductions etc) then you will be in the same bad wagon like the rest of the groups, searching for a new job. Also, they hired and keep hiring people with questionables moral standards, people who have had serious criminal convictions (drug dealers, drug users, scammers, wife beaters, multiple dui offenders, etc) It is understood some people needs to be given a chance in life, however these offenders demonstrate shaddy behavior in the long run and stretch the morals and ethicals decisions in the selling process. For example, they will scam people to believe their phone is bad and ask them to upgrade/renew contract and donate their phones or give them a small amount of money for their device, just to turn around and sell it to the next customer in the store as dealer stock phone(under the table) or to sell it on craigslist/ebay/amazon etc. Drug use: a lot of the sales force are involved in some kind of recreational drug (weed, coke, molly, pills of many kinds like pain killers) They re supposed to require random drug checks to employees but they do not execute this to prevent people from leaving right and left because they know not many people wants to wait 2 months for their first pay check. How this affect the environment? low energy, low engagement, low participation with customers trying to get them out of the store as quick as possible. Tardiness, unprofessional language used in the store while customers are still around.
