Thanks for providing your thoughts on CoStar Group. It’s great to hear that you were able to benefit from Inside Sales – the commission structure fits well with the products sold and helps more novice salespeople gain expertise in selling for CoStar Group.
As a company with a sales force that has grown significantly in the last year, we have to reexamine our structures regularly to make sure they remain relevant to the sales force and products we are selling. Effective March 1 a new structure and commission plan for Field (or Outside) Sales to be compensated fairly for their new sales and maintenance of existing accounts. With so much growth, management reviews the compensation plan on a yearly basis, and as we’re sure things will be different by this time next year, we will continue to evolve compensation and incentives to fit with the company as it grows.
