      R&D has very flexible working hours. Work/Life balance is generally respected. Company is a leader in the industry. Excellent Employee Resource Groups.

      Cons

      Focus is given more to sales than R&D. Compensation for R&D is less than comparable companies in the industry. Job security is uncertain.

      A job and make some money

      Cons

      Everything. You are on your own to sink or swim. If you have a family or a life outside of work you and kiss them goodbye because you will never see them again. You will drive 5 hour one way and work 9 hours in the hot sun with only a 30 minute lunch break and then drive 5 hours back home only to have to do it again the next day which is only a few more hours.
