Pros
It's a decent entry-level job to learn the basics and build your foundation if you are planning on a career in Talent Acquisition. Thorough 2 week hands on training when you first begin. You'll be spoiled with alcohol and food to celebrate very holiday out there. The office managers at the time were very supportive, positive, and made sure to have a genuine relationship with everybody there. Think of this role as a s 40% sales job, 30% call center customer service rep, and 30% recruiting. If that sounds interesting to you, then this is the job for you.
Cons
*ENTRY-level job but with expectations of a MID-SENIOR level job* With that said, one of the biggest fails of the company is their turnover rate. They will tell you during your interview, training, and even when you're employed that "recruiting is not for everyone". Statement is partially true, but it does feel like at times that it's a facade to their ridiculous turnover rate. Every time they brought in new employees, 1-2 would be let go- seemed almost routine. They will NOT let you know the reasoning of you being let- some "HR rule". So you'll leave wondering what happened and will never be given a chance to do better or plain out acknowledging your mistake (if any) to do better as an employee to grow whether its with them or the next company. The role is more of a sales role as it is VERY numbers oriented. That will determine your success rate, how much $$ you make, and how long you'll stay with the company. If you're more of a quality vs quantity person, then don't work here. You'll be expected to submit candidates that you know won't succeed in that role in order to hit your numbers. It'll save you in the beginning but when that candidate ends up backing out , quitting in the middle of their contract job then you'll be questioned as to why you didn't screen them well enough. Seems like a set up for failure? They are known to give you a "promotion" with a title change (something including a lead/management title) and a small pay bump just to keep you biting. Just a title, be aware of that. The base pay for a salary is quite low. Their selling point for you to make more money is by placing more people (getting people jobs). Sure, work hard and you make more money right? True... to an extent. It'll take you months... maybe a year plus before you can even start making commission (reasonable amount). Even then, the % of commission you make is barely anything. It's just dependent on how you are set up, the customer you support and the pay of these positions are HUGE determining factors on your pay. Sure there are bonuses, gift cards, incentives here and there to weigh out the low base pay... but not good enough. The company tries to make a lot of changes to improve, which is fine... if they stick with it. Communication and consistency is weak here, especially between the corporate and branch office. One day you'll be expected to follow the new, the next it'll go back to the old. It'll be a roller coaster ride with this company. Buckle up for the sharp turns and high drops. Like I said, decent entry-level job... but not a career.
