Recent hirings have been weighted on the corporate side, losing much of the culture which made Eventbrite a great place to work initially. No HR in place outside the SF office, and no anonymity - if you had a grievance this would just be reported back to your manager creating a more hostile environment. Lots of internal politics, often the person who shouts the loudest or is friends with the right person gets their way. No career progression within UK office - no transparency or structure in place. Often promises made at interview and annual review stages which are then never acted on. Not a transparent company despite insisting they are - really bad at communicating both at a team and company level, which creates a thriving rumour mill.
