Pros

Smart colleagues. Interesting office. Good location. Coffee bar. HR seems to want to improve a very toxic situation, which is hopeful.

Cons

Working at GLG will give you whiplash. Management consistently puts their egos ahead of the health of the company. The manipulation and control goes beyond any normalcy. Healthy and winning companies can’t operate like this. I feel for the new CEO, who has to now deal with the man children who ran this company into the ground. There is no trust. My advice: if you are here, get out now. If you are thinking of applying, don’t. You are simply a pawn at a crappy company that won’t win long term, unless the entire upper management changes. They only care about using you to reach impossible targets so they can fill up their own pockets and “CYA.” You don’t matter here, you will be used.

GLG Response

It was disheartening to read this review. Not only is the leadership team committed to scaling our company’s current success, we are invested in the success and growth of every team member. To call GLG a sinking ship does a disservice to all of the employees who have worked so hard to produce the record growth we’re seeing today. And it’s categorically false: in my humble opinion, there’s never been a better time to join GLG- our business performance is strong and there’s a commitment to continuously improve our leadership, our internal programs, and the employee experience.

Pros

Amazing people - lots of reviews say that because it's true. You'll work with smart, genuine, hard working humans. Good benefits and perks. Interesting events and opportunities to learn. Overall, a good place to start your career!

Cons

Very fast-paced environment which definitely isn't for everyone. Lots of necessary change.

Pros

Good colleagues, arguably a good job post college (for like a year MAX)

Cons

I cannot stress enough how terrible this company is. Spent 5 years there, and watched it go further downhill every year. You leave with only soft skills (if that), and 0 actual industry knowledge. Seriously, you leave only knowing a bunch of Hocus Pocus. I am really surprised this company hasn't been bought yet. Or merged. On my team alone, we lost 7 out of our 9 managers since January... either due to layoffs or them quitting. Pay is low. There are no bonuses and it's very difficult to get a raise. 90k in NYC is poverty. There are bright people that come in with Masters, and PhDs, and MBAs -- handing them 90k is insulting.
