Pros

- The product and overall concept is awesome. It's something that can fit into a lot of different demographics and if you know how to explain how it would work for a lot of different households you'll find a little bit more success. - Employees get a great discount on the meal kits. However, brand ambassadors only get the discount once they sell 10 sales in one week. So it's something you definitely have to earn. - You get close to the people you work with. - You get to know the city you're living in. This is kind of a weird pro but I actually saw this as beneficial.

Cons

- They give you no money for gas. This started to become a problem when I was driving over an hour to get to an event. Or I was having to go to the team meetings in the morning/afternoon which was farther away from where my event was. I was spending 4x my usual amount of money on gas per week. - The marketing efforts are basically canabalizing the sales efforts. To get your sales you incentivized people to sign up with you using your promo code.... SO MANY people I talked to had a promo code that they got through their email, mail, or even promo you can get directly from the company website and some of them were better than my promo! It became ridiculous and evident that the company really didn't care about the success of the ambassadors. - The events. Sometimes the events really don't make sense OR we go to the same events a couple times a week and completely oversaturate our presence there. I've had issues with going to events and not being able to sell to anyone cause everyone had already been sold to or they decided the product wasn't for them! - The compensation wasn't something I could feel I could live off of and was completely lied to in the interview on the average sales made by an ambassador. I was told most people sell between 10-15 per week. I quickly learned that's not true and the average sales for our office was around 8. The compensation wasn't something I could live off of. - They expect a lot of turnover. When I quit it didn't even phase my boss. People come and go in this job on a weekly basis. It's rare that you will go an entire week without something quitting. - The hours are unpredictable and they definitely take advantage of your time. This is suppose to be a full time 40 hr job but it's rare that you actually get to 40 hours. However, you are working anywhere between 6-7 days a week. Some people I worked with didn't see days off. - I originally took the job because my manager told me in the interview that there is so much room for growth within the company. Uh, that's so false. You can get promoted from ambassadors to trainer within the office however, you are expected to work more AND YOU DON'T GET A PAY INCREASE OF ANY KIND! So what's the point?

Pros

Flexible hybrid environment. In-office requirement is 50% of the month, but there is significant autonomy in how those days are scheduled (eg. you can decide to condense your in-office days the first 2 weeks of the month, and work remotely for the next 2 weeks).

Cons

1- Compensation (particularly base salary) is significantly below market. Reliance on RSU as a major component of the compensation package is problematic, given the company’s stock has severely plummeted over the last 5 years (and continues to do so). 2- Professional development is virtually non-existent. Internal promotions are rare (even for top performers) and highly political. 3- Constant reorganizations and frequent layoffs. It is difficult to feel secure in your position when entire teams are being phased out every few months. 4- Toxic and fear-driven culture. There is a prevalent culture of backchannel feedback and a palpable, constant sense of fear regarding job security and retaliation. 5- Unsustainable business model, still. Service is overly reliant on discounting and promotions, which has negatively impacted brand perception and long-term customer value. Path to sustainable growth is unclear. Leadership also doesn't seem to know what to do, as they frequently pivot strategy, with new directions introduced every few months (if not every few weeks). This lack of consistency creates a sense of instability and leaves teams feeling as though the company lacks a cohesive, long-term vision. 6- Leadership tone. Leaders often lack respect for both employees and the customer base (it is common for them to make derogatory and insulting comments in business meetings about customers who cancel their service).
