False empowerment - Guest Service Agent Hilton Employee Review

This company focuses on negatives rather than the good. Reprimands on everything...They don;t like to praise good work. I believe they think it is a motivator but they are sadly mistaken. Middle and upper management has sticky floor syndrome. Talk of empowerment but when you make a legitimate decision that is great for the business and cost effective, all of management jumps down your throat. My coworkers were always afraid to make decisions on there own because of this. It was annoying.
