Pros
These pros are moreso about the company in general: the benefits at this company are SO good; free food everyday; some of the best healthcare around; company trips & travel benefits; this company really is THAT good.
Cons
The cons have to do with the bellman position itself; at my location, I was fulltime & minimum-wage (in Virginia, it's $12 an hour). Now you'd expect the tips to make up for it, but it was rare that I got any good tips here. And I've worked for other hotels & made AMAZING tips at those other hotels, so I know I'm good at my job--its just the clientele at my particular Hilton-location were cheap. I wouldn't mind this as much if I was part-time and if i was able to do something else more productive (like be in college at the same time), but the bellman-position here *requires* you to be 40 hours a week. With bad tips, $12 an hour fulltime (while doing nothing else to help your social mobility) is not sustainable in today's world, so the position burned me out (And it doesn't help that you can't sit down at ALL on the job). The benefits are GREAT--but the pay itself: not so much. In the end, It just wasn't worth it since there was no 100% guarantee of moving up from bellman.
So we had a budget of 3k for our Christmas party we never got it and I didn’t understand why and my employee kept asking when would it be since the Gm said Jan. Well I just found out she spent over 20+k on temps. I dont know how she would use that from our budget? But okay, recently she’s been keeping the incentive money from our Hilton enrollments the last time she gave me money to distribute to my team was in November. It’s about 100-200 a month that 3 months worth.
How long does it take to be reeligible for AMEX welcome bonuses? I opened a plat in February, hilton April, gold early May. I've been trying to open another since June but I'm ineligible for the welcome bonus
I think it’s a one-a-lifetime welcome offer.
Is the Hilton hotel the only airport inside o hare? My flight is delayed so going to miss my connection and want to stay as close as possible so I can catch early flight to my destination tomorrow.
Yes. All others require a shuttle or an Uber or Blue Line.

Hilton couldn’t figure out how to throw ya’ll a party. Geez at the least Hilton open the bar, put on the playlist and bring pot luck, let your people celebrate and blow some steam.
