Pros

Smart, talented colleagues. Meaningful work. Competitive salaries. Great organizational resources. Many opportunities for professional development. Excellent flexibility and work-life balance - far better than all of my past employers when it comes to telework and reasonable hours.

Cons

I was surprised to learn that ICF does not offer any paid maternity leave. Not accrued, not with tenure. In the interest of full transparency, ICF does cover employees' short-term disability insurance, which essentially provides 5 weeks of paid leave at 60% of your salary, and ICF will hold your job for you should you choose to take unpaid leave beyond those first weeks. However, I'm disappointed we don't offer a benefit that most other companies do. We do great work in healthcare, education, social services, and more, yet we don't offer a very basic benefit to our mothers. Meanwhile, many other companies have already started offering paternity leave in addition to maternity leave. Given the number of young women we employee, it's very disappointing.

Pros

People, Mission, Culture, Technology, Remote. You work on projects and technologies that actually impact and improves the day to day lives of people around you, the community and the Country

Cons

Pay, No much room for upward mobility. If you are a high performer, you'll struggle as the structure rewards years spent in the company vs level of expertise or experience.
