Unhealthy Workloads, Negative Work Environment - Langue Services Team Member ICON Employee Review

This review is specific to ICON Language Services. Workloads are unrealistic and impossible to maintain. There is no control over what project comes across your desk or how feasible that project is, so even excellent time management, planning, and working overtime will not guarantee an ability to complete everything on time. But internal metrics place all responsibility on the employee, and failures of even admittedly impossible projects reflect negatively. Working during the evening or over the weekend to move projects along is expected. Computers and software are not the best available quality and directly lead to delays in getting work done, and at times make it impossible to do the work accurately. Opportunities for promotion are tightly capped and when they are available, they are often not posted before they are awarded, so there is no chance to apply for them. You will work overtime, you will not be advanced.
