Lots of legacy everything including people, process, technology and management. Troy, OH is a one horse town and Hobart used to own everything and sponsor everything. It is now part of the rust belt of washed up 9 to fivers holding on by a thread. What a discouraging environment to be in if you are not from po-dunk, OH b/c they will not respect or understand you and question anything you try to change. Mary Beth Siddons and others were brought in for 2-3 year stints (managing remotely) with promise that the ITW mothership would bring them back to Chicago for a more cushy office job in the Northern Suburbs. One of the many small and poorly run businesses owned by conglomerate ITW they don't care to advertise.
