Pros
There were many pros prior to Kemper purchasing Alliance United. Only pro coming to mind are that Kemper pays better than Alliance United did prior to the acquisition. Claim volume has improved but is still higher than other carriers. Decent PTO accrual.
Cons
It’s important to point out that Kemper's California non-standard business failed and was not profitable. Alliance United was very profitable prior to the acquisition. Kemper seems to think that non-standard insurance can operate like a standard insurance company. They are forcing unrealistic goals on the employees all while now forcing adjusters onto a phone queue. The problem is that it is impossible to work any claims and be on a customer service phone queue. Management now heavily micromanages. Supervisors and managers have told adjusters that if we don't like how things are now, we should find work elsewhere. Many adjusters have out of control claim pending with many claims untouched for months at a time due to the unrealistic goals in place…... and its only going to continue to get worse as upper management adds more and more unrealistic goals.
