Pros

They are usually good with schedule availability changes and requests for time off to fit your life and its changes. They also usually do have good training and keep you informed about the changes taking place in the store. Also the people I work with are very friendly including supervisors.

Cons

One week you may have 26 hours and the next you will have 4 hours. You really can't ever estimate what your income will be in a one month period. If you want more hours you will have to have a completely open book of availability. (and that isn't even a gaurantee). If you want supplemental income this may be a good job for you. If you need to make a living, look elsewhere or pray you get promoted to a full time position.

Pros

managers can be friendly at times

Cons

Little to no training been working here for almost a year now there’s still something I don’t know every day. What was most difficult for me was being at registers as I was trained in two days by shadowing someone. There are so many situations and problems that will come up every day and you will learn something new! They never taught me about Kohl’s cash, how to read receipts, reprint or edit receipts. They schedule so little so when you do learn something there’s no chance of rehearsal because you come in three weeks later working at a different department.
