Not the greatest job but if you have very thick skin you could probably make it work. - Patient Service Associate Mercy Employee Review

Pros

Sign on bonus is nice since the pay is so low but be aware, they make you wait a period of time for the first half and then another couple of months for the second half. Another pro is that you have the ability to work from home after a certain amount of time, although what they say in the interview is different than what they'll tell you once you're on the job.

Cons

A few of the medical staff were pretty unpleasant to interact with, patients are sometimes extremely rude, there is very little help with day-to-day questions because the leads are so busy and the coworker's pick and choose who they help and don't help. The hiring managers will tell you they are a "family" but it did not feel that way in person. I say this because you will clearly be ignored in the teams chat when you ask a question (event though they say that's what it's for) but you'll see those same individuals answer other's questions as soon as they're posted. Overall, it felt very clique-y.

Pros

Good base rate: starts at 30 with 10k sign on bonus Weekend program gets an extra 9.50 an hr Diffs are Evenings: 2. Nights: 4. Weekends: 1.5

Cons

Very short staffed They mark everyone as “average” on performance reviews so they only have to give you a 3% raise Last year due to “budget cuts” they only gave every person a 2.5% raise even those 1/3 of our staff had quit. We have like half of the staffing we used to have If you spend the night during a snow storm you don’t get anything for it
