Pros

The aptly titled "donkey elbow" review, in my opinion, was spot-on.

Cons

As an employee of a company acquired by Progress, the first question I had to ask myself was: can I work for a company that has summarily dismissed half of my very highly performing colleagues on day one? Without exaggeration, the first 15mins of Saving Private Ryan provide genuine insights on how they ruthlessly went about their business. As the onboarding process began, with smiles and generous welcomes from the C-suite, it was hard to see past the 100% tone-deaf lack of acknowledgement for all that had transpired. The lucky few given the chance to train their lower-cost, offshore & soon to be replacements can have no illusions about their fate. Get out ASAP.

It is always hard to see good talent leave, especially if they are our friends and long-tenured colleagues. It is a reality that is hard to comprehend, even if done with genuine empathy and professional respect toward those affected. That’s why it is significant to highlight we offer a competitive severance package and pair that with support services, like life coaching and outplacement services, to help workers find that next opportunity as quickly as possible.
