Pros
Rackspace is the kind of place where there really is an environment were talented people are working in a high energy environment making amazing things happen. Having come from a large defense contractor I have a real appreciation for how different it is from traditional companies.
Cons
Some of the new lean sigma initiatives are diabolically opposed to what originally made Rackspace great. In the late 1990’s I worked for AOL where I witnessed much the same transformation. It was something like taking talented artists producing their art then trying to put them on an art producing assembly line.
