Pros

I joined the Ritz-Carlton as soon as I was given the chance. They flashed a positive work environment with excellent benefits if you work full time.

Cons

However, if for any reason your boss doesn't like you, good luck trying to get ahead. Management, at least the location I was in, was a complete disaster. I should've known better when someone quit on my first day and blamed me while I was being given a tour. I thought she was crazy, but I realize that the location drove her to insanity. At first, I was enjoying my time. My experience was as I hoped. Decent hours, good enough pay, and I only witnessed mild drama. However, soon enough I realized the toxic nature of upper management. Actively lying to subordinates and covering up their mistakes to their superiors.

Pros

Hotel Benefits would convenient at times

Cons

Horrible to work at the Ritz Carlton Boston. I was terminated because someone decided to report me they I was nodding off briefly in the office. They first suspended me with a notice explaining my suspension and then they terminated me with a different notice with the summary of that notice not matching up with the suspension notice. Human Resources lied to me and told me that the reason they found out I nodded off was because they were reviewing footage for something and just happened to come across me on camera which does not add up to the two statements I received. Cafeteria food was terrible. You would think a five star hotel would cook better food. Sometimes the food was burnt and did not taste good at all!!!
