      Pros

      I've been working for 15 years and have had 5 employers in that time. The mix of amazing work opportunities, culture, and entrepreneurial nature are what make Slalom the best company I have ever worked for. I have read the few negative reviews, and it's clear that those people didn't try. Slalom is a place where you can create what you want: want to work in X industry? Sell a project in X industry and you'll have the full weight and support of the company behind you. If you're unhappy at Slalom, it's probably your own fault. John Tobin, President, makes it a point to stay connected to everyone in the company. You can e-mail the guy and expect a call or swift e-mail in return. He visit every office quarterly, if not more often, and takes all new employees to lunch to get to know them. His ability to remember the names of literally thousands of people is impressive.

      Cons

      401(k) match isn't as good as it could be. There is no typical path towards leadership like at most consulting companies (but there is no up or out policy either which is a big PRO).

And the connected and tuned-in nature of our leadership resonates for you. Equally as important, we are aware of the issue with the 401(k) match; we are in the process of reviewing and revising our benefits. Finally, you're correct, there is no typical path of advancement, but as you also point out, there is also no "up or out". Your feedback, both the pros and the cons, will be shared with leadership.       people are very kind and its a great network to then have for life

      I had 5 managers in 4 years, 3 of which promised me a promotion which I never got I was strung along in a seperate global team for a year and a half and then when I finally was moved to that group they fired 80% of us it's now an up or out company and people are leaving faster than business is coming in, that's been happening for 2 yrs my mental health was so bad i had two burnouts in a single year my last manager emotionally abused me and made me feel like i was a terrible person. I left believing that was why I was fired until i chatted with another former employee of this manager work life balance WAS a thing and in the last two years it's now that consultants are also responsible for selling, travel is a non-negotiable but expectations for travel are not transparent and can impact your yearly review, straight up not enough work and then senior management will make you feel bad for it
