Pros
Tableau as a product is phenomenal, it can scratch your creative itch while letting you flex your analytic muscles (not required!). I cannot understate how nice it is to fully support the product you sell.
Cons
It feels sometimes like tableau KNOWS they are fun to work for, and for that reason they get away with not paying market rate for a lot of positions. that said, it's not greviously below your standard SE job, but there are large bands for pay scale.
