Pros

Target is a great place to work if you're looking for a job to help you go to school during the week. It pays well enough to live life with minor inhibitions and offers great benefits. Very well at understanding the need for a personal life outside of work.

Cons

It is unfortunate that when you accept the job title as a warehouse worker, that you are stuck. The DC at which I work has now been open for 14 years and has had 4, count them 4 (out of hundreds possibly thousands of warehouse workers that have college degrees), warehouse workers advance to the next level. It seems you become labelled as a 'warehouse worker' and deem unusable at other levels. Target does not seem to like to promote from within and prefer to hire external candadites. I recommend, if you do not have a college degree, to work and obtain your degree and move on. If you currently have a degree, as I did when I started (thought I could hire on as a warehouse worker and work my way up... dead wrong on that assumption), go big or go home when applying and don't settle for a warehouse position. The DC is not climate controlled. When it is 100 degrees outside, it's 120 degrees inside and vice versa for colder weather. Some seem to go slightly insane during the summer.
