Pros
Flexibility to apply sales accumen and gain b2b sales experience. Hands off for the most part and was fortunate to have an objective immediate boss who understood the sales process. Get hooked up with an understanding technician who can educate you on this industry so you can survive.
Cons
Make sure you have an already established sales tool kit. Product training is very inadequate. Organizational communication is awful. You'll get three different answers on a ? from techs, to management, to corporate. Be prepared to fly by the seat of your pants. When I learned in the first month the technicians make more than sales staff I knew I was in for a bumpy ride.
