Pros
Good work/life balance, lots of time off earned, relatively easy job, 8-5 M-F and never overtime, paid vacation, pays weekly
Cons
Lots, if you get a bad sales territory you won’t get promoted, they have preferential treatment, it’s luck of the draw what team you end up on, they promote within but it’s based on numbers(which you’re selling a service, not a tangible product, you can’t force people to ship more), all territories have the same goals but aren’t the same(imagine Florida has lots of exports and Amish country has the same expectations). If you get put in a promotion patch you’ll get out, if not you’ll spend years here. They don’t promote on experience but on numbers(which aren’t controllable). Then if put on an action plan you can’t apply for promotions for 6 months. Also, plan to relocate to get a promotion. Basically look for another job unless you really love UPS. Oh the moral sucks.
