Pros

* Compensation is wonderful * Bonuses for selling flavoring or WCARD memberships. Unbelievably easy money. * I am always learning. After three years I am still enjoying learning new things about insurances. TPR's are my favorite problems to figure out. * My favorite part is the fast pace. You are expected to move and keep moving all day at my store. This makes the day go by extremely quick and I enjoy being kept on my toes. Answering calls, filling a prescription, solving a TPR, then having to race to the window to help a customer or run to a terminal for data entry. There is always something to do and I love it.

Cons

The hours can be very non-family friendly. I have a daughter in grade school and some days I see her for an hour in the morning before school and then for an hour at night before bed. If I'm lucky sometimes I only see her before school because you have to work late. Walgreen's fair scheduling requires one night during the week and so many weekends a month depending on the store and what employees are able to work. I end up working lot's of night shifts while my fellow single and childless coworkers work mostly day shifts.

Pros

The management is accommodating and doesn't ask of to much.

Cons

At one point the heat was out during the winter, but i'll say that this was only for about a week.

Pros

Can be a fun environment. All in whom your staff is. Operating photo was fun and building projects for the customers. Learning about pharmacy operations.

Cons

Work life balance and low pay for what is expected. Not having enough payroll to effectively run a store. My store ran FE on a 320 hour a week budget. That was barely enough to get buy and meet the expectations put out by the company. I was never able to keep a full leadership staff. When a leader called out, I had to stay. There were days I was called away from my own dinner table. SM's were forced to be in the pharmacy for more than half of their day regardless as to what is happening in the FE. I worked over 50 hours a week and barely got to spend time with my family. If I wasn't at the store I was getting a phone call and having to go back to the store.
