Pros

Most other employees helpful and willing work with each other. Employee discount.

Cons

Corporate makinglife miserable for the store managers which makes our life miserable. (Crap rolls downhill). Hours constantly being cut. Not enough employees, more & more work being piled on us withiout the time to get it done. Corporate ALWAYS coming up with things that make us feel like we are 5 years old. The newest example is the stockroom. Every week we are to be graded on how well we keep our sections, did we do our counts, are items getting out to the shelves we are responsible for, etc. No problem with trying to get these things done, however, I work at the front register and there is never any overlap time between me & the next person on shift so when is this supposed to get done? By the way, did I mention that we had to get our pix taken & posted on our shelves in the stockroom along with a checklist the mgr or asst mgr is to check off? IF we meet the standards, we get a gold star posted on the door! Stupid, stupid, stupid! If the idiots in corporate (including district managers) had to do our jobs for a week things would be different! Maybe they all should be on Undercover Boss.

Pros

So far so good I don’t have too many problems on the job. I actually like going in every day..

Cons

The only cause of the cons that come with a job with people don’t come into work.

Pros

Can be a fun environment. All in whom your staff is. Operating photo was fun and building projects for the customers. Learning about pharmacy operations.

Cons

Work life balance and low pay for what is expected. Not having enough payroll to effectively run a store. My store ran FE on a 320 hour a week budget. That was barely enough to get buy and meet the expectations put out by the company. I was never able to keep a full leadership staff. When a leader called out, I had to stay. There were days I was called away from my own dinner table. SM's were forced to be in the pharmacy for more than half of their day regardless as to what is happening in the FE. I worked over 50 hours a week and barely got to spend time with my family. If I wasn't at the store I was getting a phone call and having to go back to the store.
