I have been working at ForeFront full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Reaching the mid-level point in my career, I started at ForeFront a little over a year ago. It was immediate culture shock for me in multiple ways. To put it simply, joining a small, growing company has led me to learn more in a year than I ever have at previous employers. You're not just a number at ForeFront; the owners & managers genuinely invest in their employees' growth. They provide you the opportunity to excel and shine (if you so desire) and your voice is heard. It's a true Team effort here. The culture is family-oriented as we have weekly Friday lunches and quarterly events together. The atmosphere is refreshingly casual, but don't let that fool you - the Team as a whole is extremely driven, fast-paced & hard working.

If you're looking for a unique, exciting company near the Jersey Shore without the commute to NYC, I absolutely recommend checking out ForeFront :)

    Cons

Sometimes there's an overwhelming amount of work on our plates, however as we grow to scale and hire additional support, this problem should resolve itself.

I have been working at ForeFront full-time

    Pros

We work on a broad variety of great clients and projects that are challenging and interesting. Our clients love working with us because we get the job done efficiently while having fun. It is a growing company and there’s a lot of flexibility to work in different areas if it’s of interest. I enjoy my colleagues and looking forward to growing my career here.

    Cons

Like other smaller firms that are poised for growth, there’s always going to be some growing pains. But management seems to be on top of it and trying to mitigate whenever possible.

    I worked at ForeFront full-time

    Pros

They'll hire you straight out of college. The office is pretty.

    Cons

If I was further along in my career and realized the level of abuse I experienced then, I would have sued these people. We're talking comments about your race to explain poor performance and collection tins appearing on your desk that say "Plastic Surgery Fund."

There is next to no training, and you are often expected to jump through arbitrary hoops to please two owners with very different expectations.
You learn by trying to do something, not doing it right, and then getting berated for how it should be done and repeating. Don't work here unless you're desperate for the money.

    Advice to Management

Train your employees. Read an HR manual.

It is disheartening to see such a negative review. We are proud of our 20-year history of nurturing and growing our team. Our training consists of a 90 day onboarding process, mentors, shadowing on... More

I worked at ForeFront full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

As a developer, you never get assigned "busy work"; you get challenging projects. Working on these projects and solving those challenging problems is very rewarding. You make noticeable impacts that can be seen both at ForeFront, as well as at the companies you are working with in your consulting projects.

ForeFront treats all employees - both seniors and new hires, like family.

The development environment is especially healthy. All ideas are encouraged, and co-workers are very friendly and knowledgeable.

    Cons

Communication issues can lead to a few hiccups. Work can seem overwhelming at times.

    I worked at ForeFront full-time

    Pros

    Work/Life balance is excellent.
Owners are knowledgeable, experienced, professional and yet still very personable and likeable.
Employees are made to feel like part of a family, and as such are self-motivated to work hard for the good of the company.
Employees have input on company decisions.
Your work's impact on the company can be seen directly, which is very rewarding.

    Cons

Forefront is a smaller, but rapidly growing company, so there are some growing pains, nothing to be afraid of though.

    Advice to Management

Watch for those who are not fitting in, or seem unhappy, one bad apple can spoil the bunch.
