A truly great company if they can flush out the remaining toxic leadership.
Jan 9, 2023 - Sound Designer in London, EnglandRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
The company has grown quite rapidly since I've known it, and I believe has handled this growth quite well. While not on par with simialar sized companies in the UK, they are doing a generally good job of looking after staff. Lots of fresh new talent across all seniority levels being hired to help flush out the toxic old culture, it's having a really great impact. Pay attention to the team you're joining, it'll make all the difference. People are actually quite lovely in the company. Company kitchen and cafiteria were amazing. While not around for the change I hear great things from my colleages about the new CEO. He always seemed like a nice person when interacting in studio events.
Cons
Audio team leadership is absolutely toxic and cliche ridden. I didn't get this impression from other teams and from what I can tell as this out of touch and cliche culture is slowly being eroded by lots of fresh new leads who are more in tune with the current industry standards. Other than that, one common complaint is that the pay, while okay, is not really what it needs to be to reflect the cost of living within and around Cambridge.

Growing company with interesting projects
Feb 27, 2023 - Gameplay Programmer in Cambridge, EnglandRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
- Multiple exciting projects. - Friendly people that are great at what they do. - Encourages social interaction with regular events and employee ran clubs. - Option of remote/hybrid/working on-site at a modern studio. - No pressure for crunch.
Cons
- Cambridge is expensive, especially for entry-level roles. - Development cycles can feel too short.

Great company
Jan 16, 2023 - Member of Audioteam in Cambridge, EnglandRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
The audio team are a great bunch of people from all nationalities. Everybody is very approachable including the seniors and director. I've been learning a lot and there is a lot of opportunity to grow within the company. The company offers great benefits and social events. Even though I am one of the few women on the team, the company is very progressive towards diversity and inclusivity.
Cons
Even though you are allowed to work from home, you aren't allowed to work from home if that's abroad. You end up spending all your holiday allowances to visit your family. They should look into this as a fair bit of their hires are not from the UK. Salary could also be better.

Pros
There used to be lots of people with passion for the company and games. Used to be....
Cons
No room to move up in QA, moving out of looks like a frying pan fire situation. Lots of panic and impulsive calls made, leading to more stress. Pay is and always has been below industry average. Very few experienced staff left to train new comers, they have all left from frustration. I won't be long either.

Friendly, working towards a brighter future
Mar 14, 2022 - Senior ManagerRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
- Friendly and creative people across the business - a good sense of community. - There has been a massive shift in leadership perspective and a LOT of focus on engagement and communication - some of this work hasn't materialised for employees just yet but the strategy is there and everything has been moving in a much better direction the past 12 months or so. - If you're a self-starter, it's a great space to grow and there's a lot of opportunity to get on and develop your career. - Bonuses are really good if you work hard and show your worth. LTIPs and CSOPs were also good whilst I was there. - Flexible working is now a big focus.
Cons
- A much bigger investment needs to be made in inclusion and diversity and extensive training needs to take place for leadership. - My expertise was sometimes overlooked by leadership members.
