Pros
The office space is great, filled with amazing people that are all friendly and welcoming. Everyone gets the job done. You don’t have to worry about lunch as kitchen is stocked with Costco food. Really get to learn a lot of new skills and really understand the science behind what you’re doing. Technology is always evolving and new assays are always being developed. There’s tons of room to take on new roles and tasks and grow. They have given small bonuses at the end of the year thus far.
Cons
Underpaid and overworked. If you’re good at your job you get rewarded with more work and more responsibilities. Training periods are undefined and you could end up doing the job responsibilities for over a year without seeing a cent. Also bosses are a married couple that constantly fight and yell in the office. Extremely unprofessional behavior, with projects being left in limbo because they don’t want to do their job (because they fought) and this behavior has been normalized. Everything is micromanaged and controlled. Great solutions get shot down for no apparent reason other than to make a statement of their authority. They also know how to crush someone who’s already down and hold onto petty grudges (including speaking ill of previous employees).
