I worked at HSS full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

You can seriously work with some of the best officers in the world when those in charge of hiring are doing their due diligence. Smart, well training, selfless individuals who will put themselves in harms way to protect staff and their fellow officers.

    Cons

If those in charge suffer, you suffer. Bad management that doesn't back officer actions and uses them as a scapegoat will kill morale. Bad hiring will hurt your reputation and the reputation of your Security team. Poor HR work leaves employees without promises, tanking morale and increasing turnover.

4-5 years ago HSS had a friendly work environment, solid financials and a diverse management team.

    Cons

None of the pros listed above are true anymore. The last 10-12 management hires have included no minorities. This while security personnel are 50% or more minority at most sites.
