I have been working at HSS part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Many opportunities to work in a fast-moving environment

    Cons

There's really no downside to this company

    Advice to Management

Continue to hire competent workers and training supervisors that would work well with its employees

I have been working at HSS part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Very flexible and will work with you regarding your schedule or where you want to work.

    Cons

No pay raises. None at all. Many officer work graves to because some facilities operate 24/7, but no shift differential is paid. I've been there almost 4 years and have got 1 pay raise by $1.

    Advice to Management

Pay your employees. Being as understaffed as you are, you can't afford to keep wages stagnant. Plus having officers work nights can be bad for their health, so the least you can do is pay even a small percentage in differentials. That's not fair at all.

    Pros

Healthcare is great, my relationship with management of hss was good, overtime, paid vacation, pay ok

    Cons

Unorganized, doesnt care who they hire such as employees/supervisors/captains, benefits suck, poor training

    Advice to Management

Take more time with hiring people, get organized, invest in better equipment, keep your employees and customers happy. Take better care of your business ❤

    I worked at HSS full-time

    Pros

The didn't impede my departure when I resigned.

    Cons

They took forever to grant me my benefits. They took forever to compensate me for vacation days, etc when I resigned. They took forever to send me my last check.

    Advice to Management

Find another company to work for before the people you work for screw you.

    Pros

Healthcare setting , a chance to help others .

    Cons

    Favoritism instead professionalism .
The job is a great stepping for those who is looking to move up in the security field .The real issue is with management when people in supervisory position do not know how to treat or talk to regular employees . On the outside it looks professional but it is loaded with internal conflicts and shenanigans . Toxic environment to work .

    Advice to Management

Be more mindful of the importance and the workload regular employees handle .

    Pros

Scheduling office is a soup sandwich
    High turnover
    No employee loyalty

I have been working at HSS part-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Job satisfaction sometimes in helping other people. If you like working 70-80 hours a week there is plenty of overtime.

    Cons

They pay a couple of bucks above minimum wage but you stand a good chance of getting hurt on the job. There is no sick leave ever and after a year you get one week of vacation. To get it you have to apply at least two weeks in advance. Always short of help so you can get stuck staying over for sixteen hour shift frequently.

    Advice to Management

Come out of the 1950's with your pay and benefits.
