I worked at Health Dialog full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The people were intelligent, fun, hard working and interesting. I made a lot of great longtime friendships and built a great network.

    Cons

Management was really tough on teams. Very critical, inspiring fear. The climate was awful during the years I worked there. Several rounds of layoffs and reorganization. It felt exhausting.

    Advice to Management

Appreciate your employees instead of berating them.

    Advice to Management

    None at this time.

    Pros

Great pay for entry-level job, amazing people, learning opportunities, great experience, benefits started out great - no complaints while company was booming

    Cons

Once sales declined, there were layoffs each year.

I worked at Health Dialog full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

A more laid back type of environment. Nice location. Promotes wellness.

    Cons

Future of the company is very uncertain. Many of the talented employees have left or are seeking other opportunities which hinders the employees left behind. RiteAid recently adjusted the benefits package which was more expensive, less coverage, and less vacation time (Two weeks only now). Vacation used to be three to start.

    Advice to Management

Many individuals on the management team have left such as Legal Counsel, VP of HR, VP of Sales.

I worked at Health Dialog full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

I really enjoyed all the people that I worked with at Health Dialog. Over the MANY years I worked there one of the best features was always the extremely talented and highly professional folks I worked with.

    Cons

After being sold originally to BUPA, Health Dialog seemed to have lost its focus. Although they were a worldwide healthcare company, BUPA didn't seem to know what to do with Health Dialog as its first entry to the US HealthCare market.

Then Rite Aid came along and bought Health Dialog... and they seemed to have one focus, and left the rest of the company to flail. Not sure if Health Dialog will ever recover. I know they will never be the same again!

    Advice to Management

Pick a focus, define a strategy... and then WORK THE CRAP out of it! Quit letting the talent either leave or go to waste!

I worked at Health Dialog full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Loved the work-life balance. Promoted from within (often too quickly though), and hired very smart working people.

    Cons

Only knew them when they were owned by BUPA -- a British company -- how would an overseas company manage and own an American healthcare related company?

    Advice to Management

I totally believe that they were doing the very best they could have, all things considered.

I worked at Health Dialog full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Good company, opportunities for growth. They were very willing and encouraged an atmosphere of promoting from within. Loved the people that I worked with and the location of the office could not be beat.

    Cons

Academic atmosphere, things changed when BUPA came in and not for the better. Still would consider a position there. Poor work-life balance, seemed to be a competition as to who could work the most hours.

    Pros

Great nurses and really cared about their patients.

    Cons

Company has been through many site closures and layoffs and has hurt moral. Even though there are people that enjoyed working here not sure they will continue to grow.
