Pros

Benefits (used to be) People Location Parking Growth Opportunities

Cons

Centene Centene Centene Old School company with old school ways. Slowly changing things so that HN employees will quit. They don't even understand or care about the value of the current employees and their knowledge. I guess we can't read in the St Louis post that our jobs are going there.

Pros

Free Parking. They will buy lunches or meals for staff occasionally.

Cons

Supervisors and above: expectation to work upwards of 50 or 60 hours a week, every week with no end in sight. Senior leadership will blame everything on the supervisors and staff. They have created a toxic workplace, try to rule by fear. Hire managers that are bullies, very nasty. Unless you are a "favorite" and there are a couple of those, that are not qualified for their job but yet are untouchable and can do no wrong. Watch out for the "favorites" too. They spy on your Skypes with other staff and they have cameras watching you.

Pros

Free parking Great for people who like to be told what to do in detail, so you don't have to think for yourself You'll never get fired

Cons

You work with poorly managed departments all day long Constant loss of membership due to Centene's bright idea to migrate without testing or notification to members ***Be warned they're planning to migrate Medi-Cal membership too, but calling it a soft migration (BIG MISTAKE) Pay is low for the amount of work you put into this position (salaried) You're basically every department's lap dog and you have no voice in your own department No training or resources No current P & Ps (they're all over 10 years old and they have new systems that's not even mentioned) You feel like a constant failure, yet told you're doing a great job You train and educate other departments of it's policy and job function all day long, every day You are the Jack of all Trades of every internal department you come in contact with YOU DON'T GET PAID ENOUGHT TO DO THIS You don't want this job, TRUST ME. It's the bottom of the barrel, worse than customer service.
