I have been working at Help at Home full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The best part of working at help at home are the clients when u find the right fit for u and for them then you don't even feel like your working u feel like your with family . How ever u do find those clients who are unable to be pleased but there is someone for everyone plus I have THE BEST SUPERVISOR EVER K. ACRES IS THE BEST

    Cons

The cons I feel is the four hour meetings we have every three months the meeting them selves aren't bad but you do have rude workers who haven't any respect for the bosses and employees but otherwise it's not bad

    Advice to Management

There needs to be more supervision when it comes to the clothing these workers wear I wear scrubs they wear hooch ir clothes saddles way to much make up fake nails fake eyelashes fake hair these workers aren't at work to be at a beauty contest unfortunately most workers dress inappropriately and ender why the men clients make comments

    Pros

Great pay! Great location! Awesome employees to work with every employee minus the MCO management are really great to work with!

    Cons

MCO has the most unprofessional Management. Very Rude and unpleasant. Very hostile work environment to work in when working in the office setting.

    Advice to Management

Hire managers who want to help the company and not hurt it. I thought this was corporate!

I have been working at Help at Home part-time

    Pros

The staff at Help at Home is great. They offer new opportunities often and stay on top of their trainings.

    Cons

They are a newer office so they have many new opportunities with clients available which means you may receive a lot of calls about new shifts they want you to take on.

I worked at Help at Home part-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

None... Very unprofessional environment & doesn't care if they know that its not safe in some homes to work in. When they already know. I feel sorry for the clients& the Aides that have to deal with the unprofessional attitudes that this company has to offer.

    Cons

Very unprofessional. They show no concern for the ones who has been there for 10 plus years. They holler& talk to you any kind of way& expect for you to be ok with that. I'm not. You really have to kiss up to them to get hrs. Not me.. Help at Home i always considered them the highest rated company in Porter County& any other agency. My views have changed. Poor everything. Its better company's that treat there Great employees with respect& dignity. Not the one in Valparaiso,In. I'm happy that i don't have to count on this horrible job to pay my bills. Patient care is my top priority. They have lost a lot of workers& nurses in the past. Because of how they treat people. Especially the ones who really cares about the patients& there well being. They just want you to overlook critical things and do your job even if its half done. They wouldn't have employees quitting and finding better companies to work for. And clients going to better fit companies. Run & don't look back. This is the worst place to work for.

    Advice to Management

The higher up needs to look into how the office handles things. The CEO needs to get involved. Before they loose all there clients& workers. Due to the unprofessional staff. Not all are like that. Very concern about how Help at Home ratings are going down. Needs a BIG IMPROVEMENT. Really they want me to give stars. But actually they doesn't deserve not even one.

I have been working at Help at Home full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Cheap insurance and that's about it. This place sucks they believe in being disrespect because they feel you won't leave because other agencies won't pay as much as them

    Cons

Everything about this place is unprofessional from Medicaid fraud to the bribery in Illinois. As long as you don't mind sucking up to upper management you'll get promoted. Then you join a team of bullies that treat their employees like dirt

    Advice to Management

Grow up and stop showing favoritism

I have been working at Help at Home part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

You get hired no matter how old you are, just meet the requirements

    Cons

They don't have enough clients, for the hired staff, full time workers are lucky if they get 20 hours a week, Family and friends are 40 hour employees, administered staff works a 40 hour week but don't seem to care if the home care aides can pay their bills or not only earning $10.05 hr.

    Advice to Management

Stop hiring home care aides if you don't have work for them!!!
