    Pros

Self starters and motivated people can quickly begin to take on responsibility.

    Cons

Business tools and practices are very outdated, resulting in very inefficient operations. Japanese management changes frequently, creating deep voids.

    Advice to Management

Explore decentralizing management--away from Japan. Consider new accounting practices that work to grow business, rather that stifle.

I worked at Hitachi full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

A socially consious company overall (However, the management of the healthcare company was not as committed, or respectful to this as the parent company)

    Good work/life balance

    Good benefits

    Cons

Some of the upper managment were mired in the past, but they were all in their early 60's, so I imaging that this will change soon.

    Pros

The salary employees are treated differently then the hourly. Favoritism shows within this company

    Cons

Not focused on making sure new hires understand the process or worried about if they are getting trained properly. They need to train management on how to train.

    Advice to Management

Focus on training new hires correctly. Don’t pair them with analready lazy person that has an attitude of not wanting to be there.
