I worked at Holiday Inn part-time for less than a year

    Pros

coworkers are mostly nice, free food/drinks sometimes for the purpose of boosting worker morale, free cable TV when the lobby is empty, can do some homework if not busy (rare)

    Cons

No guaranteed breaks (even on an 8-hour shift). Deal with guest complaints daily in person, thru phone and by email. No sitting allowed (must stand all day). Must enroll new IHG reward members (there is a quota) or else you are disciplined. Not flexible with scheduling. Taking days off are not guaranteed. Management does not care to help workers while they eat food in the back. Low pay for work done.

I worked at Holiday Inn full-time for more than a year

    Pros

This job is perfect for the workaholic...

    Cons

60+ work weeks with no OT compensation. Catty, backstabbing, dramatic and inventive lying coworkers who will do anything to bring you down just for fun. Customers love to threaten you, your job and your actual life if something goes wrong whether it's your fault or not and management NEVER has your back. There is 0 opportunity to learn and grown because everyone is in it for themselves.
