    Cons

    It's a typical Corporate environment as far as trying to move up through different salary ranges. Also with following rules and restrictions.

    Pros

    Great coworkers, fun work environment, work from home opportunity, and decent pay.

    Cons

    Nepotism and cronyism is the name of the game. All others, don't even bother expecting to be promoted. Also, there are very few minorities in underwriting or leadership in general. Only "certain" people can work from full-time.

    Pros

    Being located in Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices realty offices is a huge benefit for mortgage loan officers.

    Cons

    Your ability to negotiate the needs of Realtors and their Clients through difficult transactions is not an entry level position. You have to be extremely attentive to the Realtors in your office.

    Advice to Management

    Build the advocacy of the Brokers to promote the benefits of in-house lenders.

    Very little support from the parent company. No understanding of local real estate

    Pros

    -a lot of freedom on the job -the people are easy to get a long with

    Cons

    -no real motivation for realtor partners to work with you.

    Advice to Management

    Create a better joint marketing plan with realtor partners so they have a reason to work with you. They are afraid of doing this for compliance reasons but many other lenders do.

    Big company with potential growth. Managers usually know what they are doing.

    Cons

    Half the people are unprofessional and crappy to work with. Don't just say there are opportunities to move up when there isn't.

    Preach professionalism and promote more fairly.

    I have been working at HomeServices full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    Great people to work with. It is a very collaborative environment and there isn't much drama. It's fun to get to work with the different companies in the field as well as the employees in the corporate office. Everyone is friendly and very knowledgeable.

    Cons

    I wish we had more company holidays.

    Advice to Management

    Encourage more team building events so that the employees can get to know each other both in and outside of the work environment.

    Pros

    Access to be part of a team with local top realtors. Plenty of freedom not over managed. Excellent management and support

    Cons

    Lower than other lenders when it comes to Loan officer splits and compensation.

    Advice to Management

    Continue to improve with technology and making it easier for borrowers to apply for a loan.

    I worked at HomeServices full-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

    High turnover so there are always openings. Some really good people have been there before you. Part of Berkshire Hathaway so expected long term survivability.

    Cons

    Toxic environment. Leadership doesn't have a clue what they are doing or how to create a positive environment. Executives only care about lining their own pockets and doing business with their friends and those that will sacrifice all for them. Parent companies too scared of CEO to make a change.

    Advice to Management

    Fire the CEO immediately, fire HR Leader immediately, review other leadership positions for appropriate decisions versus being yes men/women. Hire leadership that understands leadership, team building, positive culture/environments and the industry.

      Decent pay and flexible schedule

      Cons

      Poor communication and high turn-over. High bureaucracy, too many people trying to make decisions that lead to poor performance.

      Advice to Management

      Not everyone needs to be involved in every decision, this is causing delays and poor decisions.
