Pros

I would like to start off by saying I gave this company a 1 star rating because Glassdoor would not let me submit this review with a zero star rating. Moving on, below is a list of pros. 1. Starbucks in walking distance. Great 10 minutes to take a walk and decompress. Also, they're very friendly. 2. La Bamba has great breakfast, and cafe con leche 3. There is a parking garage you are able to use when it is raining heavily 4. Quick 5 minute drive to both International Mall and Westshore Mall 5. The Ramada - Great place for HH. Right next door. You'll need to unwind after the day. Everyday. 6. Occasionally there are fire drills, and you get to leave the office for roughly 20 minutes. Now, your managers might try to get you to stay but the building security comes around to each office and makes sure everyone is participating in the fire drill. 7. You get to travel and stay at high end hotels, however your per diem is enough for the vending machines, and you will not have any time to enjoy the resort. 8. You will learn a lot in a short amount of time, but that is because you have no training and you must teach yourself.

Cons

It is a great thing that Glassdoor does not give me a limit on the number of characters I can use. Below is a list of Cons. Although they may seem funny, they are 100% factual. 1. MANAGEMENT IS AWFUL AND NON-EXISTENT 2. This is basically a 12 hour shift, don't get this job confused with an ER nurse. Sure you'll be paid hourly for the time you're working, but if you submit OT be prepared to stand on trial. 3. Even though EVERY SINGLE THING YOU DO will go through an approval process thru upper management, if something goes wrong it will be 100% your fault. 4. The Managing Director for the Tampa office will not know your name, or care to know, even after an entire year of working for him. 5. The is no HR Department due to inappropriate relationships amongst upper management 6. When the city is literally shut down due to natural disasters (hurricanes, floods, tornadoes, etc.) you will be expected to show up to the office. If you do not show up, you will be docked PTO. I want to clarify when I say "city literally shut down", I mean schools are closed, government offices are closed, businesses are closed, etc.. 7. PTO is not a real thing. I had to go out of the country with no access to wifi in order to have personal time. 8. No growth within the company. 9. Fake people. If you'd like to meet the most two-faced individual on the planet, join NY ops. If you have morals and value yourself, stay far away. The pay isn't worth anything. I'm sure you can find a company that appreciates you as an employee, and pay you as such.

Pros

The reviews that the company HR department has posted on glassdoor seem nice. Yet they are not real. Coincidence that there are 4 1-line reviews at the top of this thread? I think not.

Cons

You'll realize how bad this place is QUICKLY. Management borders on utter incompetence. Never before have I met a team of senior management executives who have 1. never been managers at companies except IQPC 2. displayed their utter lack of understanding for digital marketing best practices more thoroughly. If you want to get asked what an impression is by your boss and then followed up with "why can't we get more?" this is the place for you! I had a director ask me once, "Can we get an app?" to which I responded "Sure, what do you want it to do?" to which I was met with "I don't care I just want one." You'll be overworked at IQPC. You'll be undercompensated. You'll be a part of a hostile work environment. Your managers will have favorites, if that's not you, you are in trouble. The CRM at this company, that you will use every day, is at least 10-years antiquated, riddled with duplicates, and slow. If you want to spend the rest of your life reeling in mediocrity in the conference industry, this could work for you. Smart people simply DO NOT work at IQPC. I truly regret the three years of my life I wasted in this dreary, blue-walled, hades.

I'm sorry that in the three years you chose to remain with the company your experience was less than positive, and you feel that your time was wasted. I'm also sorry that you feel our staff lacks intelligence and competence, and I sincerely hope that you were able to find a role that better meets your needs because of the three years of experience you gained with the company. I can assure you that the positive reviews posted on this site have not been written by me, and I'm sorry that your time here was not as positive as other employees has been. I'm glad you have taken the time to express your feelings anonymously, and I wish you luck in the future. Thank you.

Pros

Good location & food in the area Learned about the type of environment that NO ONE should ever work in

Cons

This was my fist job out of college, and I worked here for less than a month. I quit without even putting in my two weeks because the stress and anxiety was unbearable. Never in my life have I been treated with such disrespect or have been made to feel so worthless and unintelligent. I worked the hardest I have ever worked in my life with absolutely no recognition or reward at all. Although the company is one big walking issue, here are the issues I think are the most important to point out: 1. The management is horrible. They walk around the office like they own the place, and there are never any signs of them doing real work. I actually had my manager look outside while we were all working and say "hmmm it's nice out, I think I'm going to go out and get some color" Not kidding. While their teams work, they laugh at them, bully them, and give them lists of work to do that are completely unachievable. They pin their employees on each other and cause discomfort within teams and play favorites as well. You will get dirty looks for leaving anywhere near on time, as if staying late would make anything better anyways. 2. The events that IQPC run are all a lie, and impossible to market. They say that the events are large scale and have all of these important people at them, and it just wasn't the truth. I was given little to no budget to work with, and because of this, was told to harass LinkedIn groups to try to get them to work with us for free. I was given these events with little to no explanation of how they were run and they were constantly changing, which made the events that were already always falling apart, totally impossible to work on. 3. The office was disgusting and not accommodating. The office is dark and dingy, the computers are from the 1600's, and the "break room" is always dirty, small, dark, and has a non working coffee machine. Also, there are no office supplies in the whole place, so you have to bring your own. Overall, there are endless things I could say about this company, but I do not want to waste any more of my time. DO NOT WORK HERE. Don't even apply. P.S. Any good reviews that are on here that don't make IQPC sound like a sweatshop, were written by employees that were forced to write them.
