Pros

The review from April 13, 2020 is really spot on. The company has amazing culture and management is exceptional. For the most part, developers are friendly and cooperative, with a few exceptions of some egotistical people. Company also has a great unlimited sick days policy. I think the company is good for entry-mid level developers as it's very low stress and will provide good learning opportunities for the basics. There is also a lot of job security for developers. Company is doing great with clients. They don't have enough developers for all the client demand.

Cons

- Very underpaid developers. Salaries are not competitive at all. You could easily make 50-100% more money in other companies - At some point in your tenure here, you WILL spend an extended amount of time (months, maybe years) working on dead-end, boring projects that will make you feel like you wasted your time. - Limited PTO - Not a lot of opportunities to grow as a senior developer. Development culture is about getting it done, not necessarily the best or correct way. - Very high turnover rate.

Pros

The staff is honest and hardworking. There was never a moment of doubt or hesitation, believing what was said and that actions would soon follow words. It's a great bunch of genuinely friendly folks. I didn't detect any hint of politics or bureaucracy. There is a genuine desire to do the right thing, personally and professionally. The company offered a few unique employee benefits, including the ability to book time at one of the properties owned by the company for vacation.

Cons

- There was no QA staff or formalized testing process. They tout a commitment to quality, but the developers, analysts, and managers do all of the testing. - The salary was low, and the benefits were lack-luster. I got a raise and better benefits instantly upon changing jobs. - There is a tendency to work harder, not smarter. There is no desire to create or enforce company-wide standards. There is no desire to focus on one core technology. - They will work for anyone willing to pay and will do the work the client wants, even if it's to the long term detriment of the client. For example, if a customer has a Java project and they don't want to pay for unit testing or the Scrum process, the company will pull a .NET developer to work on the project if they don't have a Java developer ready and not provide processes or structure to support that developer.

Management team was horrendous and low pay

Pros

Got to work on some projects as the sole developer which meant a lot of learning on the job. Also meant a lot of client interaction with requirement gathering and managing expectations. This helped a lot in the long run.

Cons

Management team (managers and upper level) was terrible - they didn't really care about the employees and hardly did any work. Most of the time the developers talked to the client and got requirements and set up tests and deployments. Didn't allow for too much flexibility in schedule. Will start you off way under your requested salary and keep the raises low so beware. There are much better jobs elsewhere.
