    Pros

Lots of interesting projects and friendly people to work with. Good work/life balance.

    Cons

Cost control is excessive at times forcing penny wise, pound foolish decisions by management.

    Advice to Management

Be more competitive on salary and benefits to attract and retain talents.

    Pros

Amazing benefits, healthcare, training. You can take medical classes, public speaking, communication classes during work hours.

    Cons

Extremely old fashioned, rigid way of thinking. Constant HR investigations ongoing for claims that employees wear short skirts, saying a curse word, not being polite, etc. Making anonymous allegations to HR is part of the culture so constant over monitoring by everyone. Very weird environment. Claims to promote creativity and growth but you must fall in with the group think or you will not thrive.

    Advice to Management

The HR investigations are ridiculous. Having 50+ going per week should draw a red flag that allegations are a devious way for other employees to advance.

    Pros

    Some people are really nice.

    Cons

Micromanaging, they time how long you spend in the toilet! Don’t care about their employees, overtime on month end not caring about employees, work environment is outdated. Don’t waste your time working for them.

I worked at Keysight Technologies full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Benefits are good if in CA, outside of CA they use United HC - not so great; good matching for 401k; most employees are 'good people'; hardware products are solid

    Cons

Be ready for the 90's when it comes to internal systems; no clue how to bring on new employees; no documentation of past/present processes; the culture can be very chain-of-command; new sales VP's for hardware and services are worsening the culture and turning people on each other - survivors are throwing others under the bus trying to save their own skin; services business let the real strategic people go and tripping over itself - won't ever be able to scale; hardware engineering moving slow and allowing competitors to easily catch up and pass; Marketing as a whole is almost comical - not sure anyone in Marketing has ever worked anywhere else or studied marketing; most field people could not work outside this company or industry; travel gets restricted in the last month of every quarter, illustrating poor financial management and planning.

    Advice to Management

Just not sure WTH senior management is thinking most of the time. Their planning and communications are laughable most of the time. The whole 'This is the way we've always done it' is leaving you in the dust. Leverage new blood when it comes in the door.

I have been working at Keysight Technologies full-time

    Pros

The best of the best work here.
    Vertically integrated manufacturing.
Everyone here wants you to learn and succeed.
Will always be at the bleeding edge of test and measurement.

    Cons

The pay does not reflect the quality and the difficulty of the work.
The area is very expensive, making it difficult to want to stay and plant roots.
Significant disconnect with upper upper management and the people who are actually designing the products.
