Run! Your health and sanity are at stake!

      Pros

Really nice patients. I love geriatrics.

      Cons

Management does not care about you or your patients. They will bleed you dry with 13-14 hour days and still complain you’re not meeting productivity standards. Poor morale and an amazing amount of turn over. In 8 1/2 months there, the ENTIRE office staff have turned over, and nurses and therapists are known to quit after only a few months. They post more and more edicts such as call all your patients to schedule by 6 pm, and when you say you’re not done seeing patients until 6:30 or 7, they tell you to stop and schedule it in. The myth that you make good money doing home health is just that- a myth. When you do the math, it’s about $10/hr less. You can work 50-60 hours and they will still nag you about your productivity points. If you complain you can’t see 8-9 patients, they will tell you you are not making your points and should expect busier days. God they are horrible.

      HORRIBLE

      Pros

None, its crooked, they onpy care about census. Money. No staff to care for pt they dont care. Risk accepting pt cant care for because no nurses, they dont care. Work you to death and they dont care!

      Cons

They DONT CARE. They expect staff RNS to see well over 30points a week, covering 50 mile radius. Could assign by territory but cant keep nurses. Once you are there and make too much money by excellent annual evals with raises(1.5%max) they get rid of you to get the next sucker nurse . If you care about pt, enjoy spending time with family and doing things legally and ethically...DO NOT WORK HERE

LHC Group is not a great place to work.

      Pros

The only pro is some flexibility with hours because you are in the field visiting patients.

      Cons

Local management and upper/corporate management is not understanding or helpful. They will allow lazy employees to continue while squeezing the life out of good employees. For such a large company, the benefits are terrible. I heard it was rated one of the best companies for women to work for, but they don’t even offer a paid maternity leave. I have never been so rudely spoken to as I have by some of your upper management staff.

      Pros

Thanks to my wonderful and caring manager, I was blissfully unaware of what was really going on behind the curtain during the 5 years I worked there.

      Cons

Ethically and morally, LHC Group does not align with my values. Google the company name and "fraud" and see for yourself.
