    I worked at MKS Instruments full-time

    Pros

    No reason to work for MKS anymore after acquisition of Newport Corp. Company recently, for instance, hired a new manager . He is not educated in the field but he likes his position. Another words teacher doesn't know the subject.

    Cons

    Bad management with very poor technical knowledge.

    Advice to Management

    Hire professional management with extensive knowledge of the subject

    Friendly Co workers, flexible hours, tuition reimbursement

    Cons

    benefits got significantly worse after acquisition, long hours continuously expected, stressful

    Advice to Management

    hire more people, don't keep the reputation as one of the lowest paid in the industry, understand that technicians are skilled labor and cannot just be replaced by temps, understand the job market in OC is very good and we are not competitive enough to attract the quality level of employees required.
