      Advice to Management

Learn to set realistic goals for projects. Fund your IT department so your workers can have the tolls they need to do a great job. Fund your HR department instead of shoving excess work through a bottle neck. Screen employees properly instead of relying on the 6 month trial period and being quick to hire and quick to fire.

      No opinion of CEO

I worked at Mashreq full-time for less than a year

      Pros

Mashreq being one of the oldest lenders in UAE has a brand name that is easily recognizable.

      Cons

      - Unprofessional senior management - Extreme politics - Hire and fire culture

      Advice to Management

Please hire competent managers who are well versed in the art of people management. Some of the current managers have been in their positions for too long without contributing anything positive towards the growth of business. Also stop treating employees, particularly sales staff as bonded laborers who could be insulted or terminated any time.

      Pros

Great Salary, good learning curve, exposure to different cultures.

      Cons

Management, no transparency in work culture, biased, unethical, non fit local hire for senior positions, preference to locals for promotions irrespective of quality of work, racists .

      Advice to Management

Create ethics ombudsman team that puts the organisation in par with global institutions . This would irradiate a lot of internal politics.
