    Pros

Great place to work. The employees brighten up your day. You get to work with multiple people and strengthen yourself socially.

    Cons

No complaints. This company helped me through my high school years and part of my first year in college by always staying inspiring that there is much ahead in life.

I worked at Microtel Inn & Suites (Less than a year)

    Pros

It was a job, and I liked the commute.

    Cons

Horrible place to work. Management is incompetent, the turn-around is incredibly high since they berate employees and guests alike. Minimum wage pay to employees while they charge the guests premium to stay in rooms with terrible (none) accommodations.

    Advice to Management

Pay people better. Respect your employees and guests.

I worked at Microtel Inn & Suites full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Worked well with school schedule while I was try to get my degree. Enjoyed helping people and doing what I was able to make their stay as great as possible.

    Cons

pay was terrible, raises hardly happened and work kept increasing. Owner wasn't willing to spend money on things that needed fixed, and when they did it meant more working for the front desk since you would be the one fixing it. No maintenance person on staff. Not will to give do raise. Then took away vacation time after someone used all at once.

    Advice to Management

Have to be will to spend money to make a hotel nice. Hard working people that want to move up will only work hard for so long without compensation.

I worked at Microtel Inn & Suites full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good opportunity for energetic, personable people

    Cons

Does not value employees work or dedication

    Advice to Management

There should always be room for advancement for a current employee. Give qualified employees the opportunity to be elevated instead of hiring outside of the company. This to me will show employees your appreciation.

I have been working at Microtel Inn & Suites part-time

    Pros

There are some great people to work an it can be flexible an u get good tips some times an the work is easy an quick to catch on.

    Cons

The pay is not great u get paid by the rooms every three rooms are a hour but if u get people that stay over it's four rooms a hour an cleaning rooms that are messed up you don't get paid for it . An u can work more than 30 hours a week an not see the hours you worked for.

    Advice to Management

Pay people equally an by the hour because people bend backwards to help get rooms clean an you don't want to pay them it's wrong.
