I have been working at Mistras Group full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Family Oriented. Flexible attire. I have learned a lot and have been giving opportunity to grown within the department. Starting pay is nice and good benefits.

    Cons

Unless you with the "in crowd " you have a hard time being respected and appreciate. Getting a yearly raise doesn't usually happen.

    Advice to Management

You get what you pay for. Not all employees are as dedicate or as reliable as others and will leave if giving the chance from a competitor. Not all employees have MISTRAS in there best interest when making decisions most managers have altered motives. Ask the little people there opinions on changes or possible changes as you could learn from them and make the company more efficient. Share your knowledge if people know why they need to meet certain deadlines in order for another situation to be effective they might be more prone to meeting there deadline. Having the everyone's replaceable attitude is setting everyone up for failure.

I worked at Mistras Group (More than a year)

    Pros

401k and medical benefits are above average.

    Cons

Stay away from the PCMS and RBI group. Management is horrible and very insecure. The lying to employees and clients is out of control. It is a very "clickish" and political environment. Managers will and do harasses employees. This is the only company I know where a manager gets investigated for numerous harassment complaints, and gets promoted to a new position.

There is no opportunity for growth. Coming into an interview, they will tell you that they want you to grow and work up the ladder. However, when the time is to come, they will lie about their own time frame from previous conversations. My advice, I would bring a tape recorder to the interview and every meeting.

I don't think you can pay me any amount of money to keep me there, I am glad I left when I did.
