I worked at NPower full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

NPower's mission drew me to work with this organization. There are great people within this organization whose passion for NPower's mission consistently shines through. The CEO is very transparent, open and communicates her goals and aims regularly.

    Cons

In every organization, there are a few people who are not very team oriented.

    Advice to Management

With a larger emphasis on the NPower's mission, you are moving in the right direction. Work on highlighting and utilizing the various skill sets employees bring to the table.

I worked at NPower full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

It was a great opportunity to help veterans transition into the workplace..

    Cons

Management had its own personal issues that they brought to the workplace. This crippled morale which took away from the real reasons for working for there..

    Advice to Management

Find quality managers. Not individuals that need to feed their egos..

    Approves of CEO

    I worked at NPower full-time

    Pros

New CEO has the vision and drive to take things to the next level, pending support from those around her. Solid corporate partners and underwriters that, if leveraged effectively, can really help to drive both growth and mission success.

    Cons

Low salaries, though not terribly inconsistent with other similar sized nonprofits. Director and C-Level managers more concerned with protecting their kingdoms of influence. When I was there, the mission was a bit too broad and more coherence was needed.

    Advice to Management

Bertina needs to trust her instincts, not the people directly reporting to her.
