Pros

The leads have good artistic vision and are very accomodating and friendly. Ed Boon, the game director, was one of the original creators of Mortal Kombat, so he has a strong vision and passion to create a game that he loves. No sabotaging of the studio to chase a quick buck through forced live-service projects or sacrifice of integrity as far as I can tell.

Cons

NetherRealm is owned by Warner Bros, which puts lots of ugly corporitization into the mix. Employees aren't allowed to have unapproved creative endeavors outside of work.

Pros

Great, smart people you work with. Big name IP opens doors in the future.

Cons

Hierarchical structure, upper levels not listening to senior devs. Ultimately led to layoff of entire mobile team.
