I have been working at OutSystems full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Flexible benefits, remote work opportunities, talented and helpful teammates, support from Management. Career growth opportunities. Competitive salaries and employee recognition.

    Cons

Some slight communication challenges likely do to distribution of employees and teams, nothing major.

Health insurance paid is nice. You can learn a lot very quickly. Aggressive in the marketplace

    Cons

Poor leadership; incompetent management; a level of confidence that has no basis in reality; poor customer experience as they move into enterprise

I have been working at OutSystems full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Benefits are generally good. Pre-covid, free trips to Portugal? Could be a good stepping stone to your next real job.

    Cons

Work life balance for field sales is non-existant due to new economical pressures. Its a shotgun approach to new pursuits. Leadership continues to add like-minded individuals living in their past at places like Okta, Splunk, etc. Do not welcome opinions or challenges of ideas. Quickly becoming a death-by-analysis field and sales organization. Little to no career growth, if you aren't hired at the highest position you desire here, don't believe the hype that you will be promoted. All RVPs and Senior Directors are coming from outside in and only from firms like Splunk, Salesforce, or the Friends with Benefits program of senior leaders. If you aren't one of the few, you're an expendable cog in the wheel and be wary that whole teams have been fired on a whim.

    Pros

Free benefits. Rock Star free-ish health insurance, dental and vision. Hey, great, right?? :-|

    Cons

    Free benefits.... That's the ploy.

I worked at OutSystems full-time for less than a year

    Pros

I really enjoyed my colleagues and they have great benefits

    Cons

I joined because the culture endorsed outspoken professionals. They encouraged people to ask 'Why' but yet when you do so, they overrule it. Management sees their way and nobody else's. I quickly realized I was an executor vs. a strategist when my boss told me what to do on a regular basis. She clearly wanted no other opinions and for her team to do things her way. In addition she stated she had the management team 'wrapped around her finger.'

    OutSystems Response

    March 19, 2019Vice-President, People

Thank you for taking the time to share your opinion of OutSystems. We pride ourselves on our company culture, so we’re disappointed that you feel it was misrepresented. Because our company is in high-growth mode and is more distributed than ever, it can appear that our culture is becoming less open to asking why or challenging the status quo. So, we will double down on our efforts in these areas to ensure others don’t feel this way, and we appreciate your honest feedback.

I have been working at OutSystems full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Haven't had a job I enjoyed this much in a very long time. OutSystems has a tremendous product, effective leadership, and smart people all around driven to make a difference.

    Cons

Not enough time to do all the things I want to do.

    Pros

After you leave any job afterwards will seem like a dream.

    Cons

A puppet show, managed by a Portuguese engineer ceo who believes he knows everything about how to run a company. Did a good job when it was a start up, now he is over his head and in a panic. CRO makes Milton Waddams from office space look like a genius. Net net is this is a culture of there is only one way to do things and if you don’t follow the recipe you are not competent.

    OutSystems Response

    March 19, 2019Vice-President, People

Thank you for sharing your frustrations and for being honest. For the past two years, the company has been growing at a very fast pace, leading to aggressive targets and changes that have been uncomfortable for those not accustomed to them. We take opinions like yours seriously and we will commit to ensuring that our teams feel that their voices can be heard and that we are open to change.

I have been working at OutSystems full-time for more than a year

    Pros

I have been with the company for nearly 2 years and it's been a very rewarding experience and a great team. OutSystems is far from perfect, as most rapidly growing software companies are... but the mix of culture/team/tech/total addressable market is very compelling here. - Customers and partners love the technology - The culture is unqiue and very positive. The Small Book is legit and followed every day. - The market opportunity is 2nd to none. - The team is fill of passionate individuals throughout the company.

    Cons

    - Growing pains can get frustrating at times, but not unlike any other fast growing tech company. - Global brand awareness (especially in the USA) could use a shot in the arm.
